Chair covers??
I am getting married this October and I’m having my reception in a banquet hall…it’s very nice and of course they provide white tableclothes for their round tables but their chairs are like an ugly pinkish color…I’m wanting to get some white chair covers to cover them up and make it look more elegant. The banquet hall recommended a place that they use and I guess the people come out and steam the covers on the chairs so they aren’t wrinkled and they have a display out at the hotel we are having the reception at and they are really nice but they are $6 a chair cover and I’m having over 200 guests at my wedding and I don’t want to be spending that kind of money on just chair covers. Just wanted to know if any of you have ever ordered chair covers online that you can rent? I found a website where you can rent them and they are only like $1 or $2 for each chair cover, but I hate to order them and they come and are are really wrinkled and don’t even look nice…any of you done this?
Things to consider:
Who is going to cover all of the chairs? Who will steam them before they go on? Who will take them off? Who will take care of sending them back to the rental company? How much will you have to pay someone to do all of this? This is a huge job, and if you provide your own chair covers, you’re going to have to also provide someone to put them together, and it probably won’t be cheap.
I would go with the place your reception site recommends. That recommendation carries a lot of weight, because they have worked together successfully in the past. At the end of the day, you are probably going to go to a lot of trouble to save very little.
At the last minute (the week of my wedding) we decided to have chair covers. It really gave the room an extra pop, and I’m glad I did it. If you can afford it, go for it. It really adds a lot to the room.
